![]() I doubt JTs or 56s do better than small pairs although are better as all ins. ![]() I do think if you imagine how the game is played the worse nightmare for AA is probably small pairs. On the other hand expect KK to lose a ton to AA far more than TT or 99. I mean a small pair probably loses only a bit typically but wins a lot say 13-14% of the time (set at flop or turn/river if survived till there). Which hand do you think will now do better vs AA once this is played out?Īgainst which hand does AA win the least?įor example if opponent has AA and you have 56s is it better than having 66? The real question is to find the hand that does less bad against AA the way AA is played in a normal game.Įxample AA open raises to 3bb guy calls with 56s or 66 or TT or JTs etc. Nobody is going all in with 56s in a cash game all that often. The trivial way is to say that 56s is the best as all in or that of course the totally irrelevant choice of another AA. I am more interested from a theoretical viewpoint about the nontrivial way because almost all decent players know the all in answer. The trivial simplistic way or the highly intelligent way.
